Games for the asphalt By Tom

Games for the asphalt

I would really like two or four square permanently painted on the asphalt for the following reasons:

Firstly it has no winners or losers so no one gets angry and hurt someone.

Secondly its easy not complicated so everyone can play so no one misses out on the fun.

Not only that but every one get a turn and you might make new friends.

For those reasons I strongly belive that two or four to be permanently painted on the asphalt.By Tom

The Powhiri by Carys and Ashley

The Powhiri

YesterdayWhangarei Primary School welcomed the new Principal and new students with a Powhiri.

Firstly Whaea Pera and Mrs Halse called on the new students and Principal. The kapahaka boys did the haka and the B.O.T did a speech. Then W.P.S did their welcome song. Mrs Hancock gave a speech and then gave Mr V the cloak. Uncle Buster then blessed it.

It was a good day to celebrate the new students and Principal.

How to catch a pig

How to catch a pig

Firstly you  follow  your dog so  he  can track  down  the  pig  .
Secondly  the  dog  will  pin the pig to the ground  so  you  can  stick the  pig.
Now you  know  how  to  get  a  pig.

Autumn by Ashley

Autumn leaves

Watching leaves falling off trees
as wind shakes the branches

Little parachutes dropping seeds
getting ready for winter

Autumn changes to many different exciting colours

Animals getting ready for hibernating

Winter is coming so stay warm!

Autumn By Prayag

The leaves are falling
Tiny little parachutes dropping through the air with their seeds
The beautiful colours falling down
Orange, blue, green and red

Autumn Days By Tom

Autumn Days

Thistledown is floating round
Darting everywhere

Red, orange, yellow, brown
Leaves tumbling to the ground

The berries, acorns, nuts and seeds
tumbling, tumbling into the weeds

Lots of little aeroplanes
whirling, whirling round
Brownish seeds of totara are drifting to the ground

Autumn by Ranger

Autumn comes
 Leaves change and go
Garden fairies float away with their seeds
to find a new place to grow

Leaves lie, not to grow again
Leaves change to orange, read and brown
Trees go from covered to naked

Plant lose leaves
and change from popular to lonely
Trees lose leaves, trees keep leaves
Leaf keepers are called evergreen

Triathlon training

Lots of fun and lots of learning about triathlons. We have to 'click, push and go with the flow' as we go into transition to get on our bikes. Looking forward to Friday.
